CITY OF YORK Health Center

This project was part of a progressive civic project designed to reclaim the neighbourhood from a crime and drug ridden context. The design strongly embraces its context, but offers new optimism and vision, maintaining and reinforcing the street line, while introducing a completely new texture, new and old working together. By scheduling the work in a particular sequence, and not using on large general contractor, we were better able to control the work while eliminating the contractor's mark-ups.
